Alexa PenaVega just shared another pregnancy update, telling followers she has “a lot of energy back.”
“I am just feeling so much better in this pregnancy now,” she said in an Instagram video.
PenaVega touched on some of the struggles she has been facing with this pregnancy, including a tear. Movieguide® previously reported:
Alexa PenaVega is updating fans on her pregnancy journey as she prepares for Baby No. 4.
“I just want to tell you guys that I’m feeling great. I’m doing really well,” she began. “I went through a really, really rough first trimester.”
PenaVega was told not to move in order to heal the tear, which she found “frustrating” and difficult, as she was “going through the worst morning sickness I had ever gone through. What I was going through…was so rough on my body and I really do feel like it slowed down my healing process of this tear because I would just be hovered over the toilet or the sink.”
“It was really miserable and I was really frustrated because I just wanted to heal. I wanted to know for sure my baby was going to be safe. I wanted to know that I’m going to be safe,” she continued.
“Praise the Lord, we are out of that season, and I hope that season never comes back, because it was awful,” she said. “My tear has healed completely.”
PenaVega shared some more updates, including issues with varicose veins, but reiterated how much better she feels.
“I just have a lot of energy back,” she concluded.
She and her husband, Carlos PenaVega, announced the pregnancy on Instagram in November, writing, “Thank God we love adventures ??? Oh baby here we come! Número cuatro!”
The couple are parents to Ocean, 6, Kingston, 4, and Rio, 2, and have spoken about their commitment to demonstrating their faith to their kids.
“The best way I could teach them about faith was just operating in my faith in front of them,” she told Fox News. “Obviously, we talk about stories of the Bible. That’s fun and exciting. But I think the biggest thing is, what does the relationship with God look like? Because there’s learning about the Bible, but then there’s real relationship.”
PenaVega continued, “I pray out loud all the time. I’ll be cooking, and they’ll hear mama talking to God. I will be cleaning, and they will hear me talking to God. And it’s really great because it’s gotten them to a place where they know they can go to God for absolutely anything and everything.”
