Antonio Sabato Jr., Kevin Sorbo, John Rich: Hollywood Wants to ‘Control’ and Cancel Conservatives

By Movieguide® Staff

In a recent interview on THE FAULKNER FOCUS, conservative stars Antonio Sabato Jr., Kevin Sorbo and John Rich discussed censorship in Hollywood and cancel culture.

Sabato claims Hollywood blacklisted him after he revealed he supported former President Donald Trump. Sabato noted that many conservatives have “had enough” and are looking to continue their careers outside of Hollywood.

“It’s about our freedom, it’s about the future of our country, it’s about being able to speak your mind,” Sabato told host Harris Faulkner. “They try to control your future, they try to control the casting directors, who you should hire, who you should not, based on their political views or other views that they disagree with.”

Sabato said that while Hollywood preaches diversity, diversity of thought no longer exists in the entertainment industry. The actor is pushing back against cancel culture through his Conflict Studios, which helps actors continue their careers after getting blacklisted.

Country artist John Rich, who was also on the panel, told Faulkner that the same is true in music.

“You’re not hearing strong conservative opinions coming from the conservative country artists and there’s a reason for that,” Rich said.

Actor Kevin Sorbo also explained his own form of censorship when Facebook shut down his account. Although Facebook claimed to have warned the actor’s account to take down specific posts they claim violated their policy, Sorbo said this was not the case.

“I would take down anything they wanted me to take down because I didn’t want to lose all those followers,” Sorbo said. “Most of them actually like the movies I do and the posts that I make and [Facebook] just said we’re done with you and just took it down.”
