Dolly Parton Credits the Holy Spirit for Leading Her to for KING & COUNTRY Song

Christian rockers for KING & COUNTRY surprised fans last week when country legend Dolly Parton joined them in their music video “God Only Knows.”
Parton is such a big deal that the Australian brothers filmed the behind-the-scenes experiences leading up to the debut.

The documentary opens with Joel Smallbone of for KING & COUNTRY excitedly speaking to Parton on the phone.
Parton tells Smallbone how thrilled she is about the collaboration.
Right before the pair met Parton in person, the guys said this it was a “pinnacle” moment for them. They also joked that they hoped she liked them.
“When I first heard it, I thought it was one of the best songs I’d ever heard,” Parton said.
Parton told the brothers that she felt like the Lord led her to the song. Parton said she’d just told her manager she wanted to sing more inspirational music, and that’s when the song made it to her office.
Parton said she was in the Spirit throughout the recording process.
“You have at the very least made our year, if not our careers by being gracious enough to sing on this song, so thank you,” the Smallbones said.
At the end of the documentary, all three musicians thanked God and prayed the song would reach people with the Gospel message.
Parton tells the brothers that it’s time for people in power to take a stand.
“I think it’s time that people like you and people like me that are in a position to do greater things, I think its time to be doing it,” Parton said.
