Dwayne Johnson Production Co Signs First-Look Deal with Disney

Seven Bucks Production, funded by Dwayne Johnson and Danny Garcia, has signed a first-look deal with Disney allowing the company to increase its ties across all aspects of Disney’s business.
The deal will allow Johnson to more easily appear in future projects, while also giving him the opportunity to incorporate branded products and experiences through Disney’s entertainment offerings. The Jungle Cruise rides, for example, could be updated with Johnson’s character from the movie of the same name.
Johnson can also work with any of Disney’s subsidiaries, including Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar and 20th Century/Searchlight, allowing him to feature in any number of theatrical and streaming movies or shows.
As for future content, Johnson was already set to return for MOANA 2, releasing this November, and a live-action MOANA in 2026, with plans for THE JUNGLE CRUISE 2 later down the line. He has also previously worked with Disney on 2007’s THE GAME PLAN and 2009’s RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN.
Fans appear especially excited for MOANA 2 as its first trailer set a new 24-hour viewing record for a Disney animated movie, amassing 178 million views during its first day. The sequel is set to serve as a cornerstone movie for Disney, building on the 2016 classic which took $678 million at the global box office.
With the first look deal, Johnson’s spring football league, the UFL, will also continue its partnership with ESPN, which served as a broadcast partner during the league’s inaugural season earlier this year.
While Johnson remains busy with his numerous projects, his number one inspiration and priority remains his daughters who he always makes time for amidst his busy schedule.
“I think I’ve reached a point in my life where I can create my own schedule, which has been really nice, because it wasn’t always that way, and I’m really lucky,” he told PEOPLE. “And I think, in the spirit of creating my own schedule, it allows me to get closer to the girls and where they’re around every corner they’re with me.”
“My office at the house is Daddy Central,” he added, “where they’re always hanging out, so they’re always privy to all the stuff that’s going on.”
