Former Clinton Adviser Warns: The ‘Constitution Is Burning’
By Movieguide® Staff
Naomi Wolf, an adviser to former President Bill Clinton issued a dire warning to Tucker Carlson over the state of the nation as COVID-19 related policies force businesses to shudder their doors.
“That is not a partisan thing,” Wolf told Carlson of Tucker Carlson TONIGHT. “That transcends everything that you and I might disagree or agree on. That should bring together left and right to protect our Constitution.”
In a tweet, Wolf wrote, “It’s an emergency; constitution is burning; we don’t have to agree on everything to respect one another, join together to save our previous freedoms.”
Grateful for the serious, gracious, important discussion with @TuckerCarlson tonight. It’s an emergency; constitution is burning; we don’t have to agree on everything to respect one another, join together to save our previous freedoms. Thank you, @TuckerCarlson, and your team. https://t.co/H1GPIs8AcI

Wolf is a liberal feminist author and former adviser to both Clinton and Al Gore. She warns that both political sides must come together as the country draws nearer to a police state over COVID-19 policies.
“The state has now crushed businesses, kept us from gathering in free assembly to worship as the First Amendment provides, is invading our bodies … which is a violation of the Fourth Amendment, restricting movement, fining us in New York state … the violations go on and on,” she said.
“Nowhere in the Constitution does it say all this can be suspended if there’s a bad disease,” Wolf continued. “We have lived through typhus, cholera, smallpox, HIV, tuberculosis, polio, the Spanish flu — we’ve lived through an attack on our soil — never has there been months and months and months of emergency powers when we weren’t actually fighting a war.”
Wolf issued a clarion call to the United States to wake up and fight for their rights.
“I really hope we wake up quickly,” she said, “because history also shows that it’s a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.”
Wolf’s comments highlight the importance of consumers understanding how media portrays government. For example, Wolf condemns fascism and decries totalitarian states. Socialism is often at the root of these totalitarian states.

As Dr. Ted Baehr, Movieguide® Founder and Publisher writes in “The Screen-Wise Family”:
The Lichter, Rothman and Lichter studies show[1] the vast majority of those involved in the entertainment industry politically support socialism. Socialism calls for the state, ruled by elites, to save mankind … by eliminating the private ownership of property. Ironically, this same group is determined to guard the intellectual property rights that enable them to become wealthy making movies and entertainment.
At the very root of socialism and communism is a negation of God’s Law, the Ten Commandments, particularly the First Commandment, since the state is being elevated to a position higher than God and the Eighth Commandment, because to outlaw theft one must assume God established private property. You cannot steal something unless someone else owns it. The Tenth, is also negated because to envy or covet something requires that it belong to someone else. A movie that lifts up the state as savior and attacks the individual and their God-given rights is, in fact, promoting a very Anti-Christian worldview.
Statism, in whatever form it takes – whether fascism, communism or national socialism – is a punishment for rejecting God and seeking salvation from men. This is the key to the impoverishment of every totalitarian state, including the former Soviet Union with all its natural wealth. Salvation can never be found in the state, but tyranny can.
We must unite across the aisle to stand up against tyranny.
