Former Model Trusts God’s Plan for Cancer Battle

Former model Nicole Weider still believes that God had a purpose for her cancer diagnosis.
In a video posted to Instagram, Weider, who is now in remission, shared her heart on the matter.
“Some people ask me why they think God allowed me to have cancer, especially so young,” she began. “Well, I will never know the full answer until I get to heaven. I really believe that God knew through this trial in my life that my faith would not waver in Him, and through your prayers and by the grace of God, I have reached remission.”
Weider continued, “I still have a long way to go. I still have to do radiation, but I really believe that God knew if He answered my prayer, that I would give Him glory and also that your prayer would be answered.”
“We thought my crazy testimony was over that God brought me out of Hollywood where I used to model in lingerie and party with celebrities and go clubbing, but God had another unexpected twist in store for me. As you now know what that is,” she added.

At an early age, Weider started modeling swimsuits and lingerie for brands such as Victoria’s Secret. However, as her career took off, Weider felt like her dignity was being stolen.
“My agent, she was booking me for lingerie work and swimsuit catalogs, and on set, I thought it would be some glamorous experience where I was having fun and I was so excited to book these jobs, but then when I was on set wearing just a bra and underwear, I felt completely humiliated and degraded,” Weider said. “Here I was on set with all of these guys and all of these people fixing my bra and my underwear, and it made me feel really ashamed of myself.”
During a shoot for Maxim magazine, Weider knew that she had to leave the industry. But upon leaving, Weider said that she had nowhere to turn…
However, a 23-year-old Weider gave her life to Christ, and the trajectory of her career and purpose changed forever.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer last November, Weider successfully finished treatment and announced her remission in May. She gives all credit to God. Movieguide® previously reported, “Nicole Weider is in remission from stage 4 cancer! The former model took to Instagram on Wednesday to share the miraculous news. ‘Cancer update- it’s hard to even believe this and it feels surreal typing it but I am in REMISSION now from cancer!! Praise Jesus!’”
Weider continues to use her platform to praise God and encourage others. Most recently, she became a mother for the third time via surrogacy and can now call herself a cancer survivor.
