HGTV’S GOOD BONES Celebrates 100th Episode
By Movieguide® Contributor
GOOD BONES is halfway through its last season as its star, Mina Starsiak Hawk, celebrates its legacy and 100th episode.
“It’s hard to believe that Season 8 is already halfway over…” she posted on the show’s Instagram page.
“But we’re so excited to be celebrating a HUGE milestone this week, GOOD BONES’ 100th episode!” she said.
Heavy reported, “Good Bones” began airing on HGTV in 2016 and featured Starsiak and [her mother, Karen] Laine as they worked together to renovate homes in their hometown of Indianapolis, helping revitalize neighborhoods in the city.”
Laine retired from the renovation aspect of the show in 2019 but still made appearances as a consultant for Hawk.
Hawk wrote, “We’ve come a long way in the past 10 years, and Good Bones has forever changed who we are. From not being afraid to take on the worst house on the block, to the honor of building and designing houses for family and friends, we have been so privileged to be part something so meaningful to so many fans over the years.”
Movieguide® previously announced the end of the show:
HGTV’s GOOD BONES is set to end this year with its eighth season.
‘It’s the end of an era. I had to say goodbye to some people today that I have spent my last almost 10 years with,’ star Mina Starsiak Hawk said while appearing on her podcast. ‘Something I’m super, super proud of, and really grateful to the network for is making a show for the last eight years that, for the huge majority of the time, has been super representative of who I am… and it was really important to me from the beginning to do that.’
Hawk previously shared that it’s difficult to “say goodbye” to the team of people that she spent almost a decade with. But Hawk’s post also teases that a new spin-off or show may be in the works. A “surprise” photo shows Hawk in front of some cameras.
