In HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA: TRANSFORMANIA, Count Drac is finally retiring and giving his beloved hotel to his daughter, but things get complicated, and he must get out of a bind with his son-in-law. Streaming on Amazon Prime, HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA: TRANSFORMANIA is a funny, enjoyable movie with some pro-family, redemptive themes of forgiveness and sacrifice, but it does have monster characters that could scare younger children, plus references to magic.

In SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE, Miles Morales runs into a society of Spider-Men or Spider-People protecting the multiverse from threats, but when they clash on how to handle a new supervillain, Miles faces a moral dilemma that affects the people he loves the most. SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE is a creative, exciting, funny superhero movie with a strong, heartfelt pro-family worldview that also promotes doing the right thing, but there’s lots of animated action violence and some brief foul language, so caution is advised for older children.

In KUNG FU PANDA 2, Po the chubby panda must look to his past and uncover the secrets of his mysterious origins in order to defeat an evil peacock trying to destroy kung fu and oppress all of China. KUNG FU PANDA 2 is hilarious, action-packed and heartwarming, but it has a mixed worldview with Chinese pagan/humanist Taoism combined with some moral, redemptive elements, so caution is advised for older pre-teen children.

DESPICABLE ME 3 shows Gru losing his job with the Anti-Villain League and then meeting his long-lost twin brother, with whom he plans a heist against another villain so that Gru can get back his job. DESPICABLE ME 3 is a high octane, high energy mélange of several storylines that bring fast and furious jokes, fun, reconciliation, prayer, and family to the big screen.

In THE SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS MOVIE, a feature-length version of the popular animated TV series, Spongebob Squarepants and his goofy sidekick, Patrick, must make a dangerous journey to save Spongebob’s boss and their whole town from the evil Mr. Plankton. The creators behind the series have decided to make the first SPONGEBOB movie racier, darker and more “edgy” than the television series, almost destroying the innocent charm and wit of the TV series.

In MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE’S MOST WANTED, Alex the lion and his zoo friends get back together for another adventure, this time hiding in a circus to avoid the animal police. MADAGASCAR 3 is hilarious entertainment with some redemptive content, but the plot may not always make sense because it’s moving so fast, and there’s some lying and brief scatological humor, so discuss this with younger children.
