More Detail:

Episode 5 of COUNTY RESCUE: Season 2 on Great American Family and Pure Flix starts with Dani telling Tim she thinks Duke is drinking again while Ashley must decide whether to take a job at another station house, Liz hopes Marcos will forgive her for forgetting to fill out the city permit for his art gallery, and Chief Scott tries to talk to the mayor about avoiding upcoming budget cuts. Episode 5 of COUNTY RESCUE: Season 2 is one of COUNTY RESCUE’s most dramatic episodes, with positive messages promoting prayer, forgiveness, strength through unity, and having patience while waiting on God.

Titled “Hot Water,” the episode opens with Dani telling Tim she saw Duke, who had to take time off because of an alcohol problem, drinking something out of a paper bag. This makes her angry, especially because, when Duke returns full time, Chief Scotty must let her go in favor of Duke. What she doesn’t know, however, is that the Chief’s been trying to stop upcoming budget cuts so he can keep both Dani and Duke at the station house.

Meanwhile, Marco hasn’t forgiven Liz for forgetting to send in the city permit for his art gallery as she promised. As a result, he had to close down the gallery.

Finally, Ashley, Andy’s wife, is trying to figure out the right time to tell everyone else she’s decided to take a job at another rescue station in the county. Ashley leaving would solve Dani’s problem, but Dani doesn’t want to be just a replacement to fill a hole.

Episode 5 of COUNTY RESCUE: Season 2 is one of the most dramatic episodes of COUNTY RESCUE. All the conflicts and problems come to a head at the end when the Chief walks into the break room to find his team in disarray. The team members are caught up short when their team captain, Andy, walks dejectedly into the room. Andy had just been on a DOA call. He returned to the station looking for comfort, only to find that the plumber still hadn’t fixed the hot water dial in the shower. Andy has always been there for his team. Now it’s time for the team to be there for Andy.

A key subplot in Episode 5 is Dani’s situation. She thought God had finally put her in the place He wants her to be. However, now it looks like she’ll have to keep searching for another place. Tim, Ashley and her friend, Griffin, try to encourage her, telling her that, just because her career seems to be stalled, doesn’t mean that God isn’t working behind the scenes preparing a place for her. Griffin reminds Dani that she believes in a big God. If God is truly as big as she believes, then her calling from Him is probably bigger than one specific job or place.

Thus, Episode 5 of COUNTY RESCUE: Season 2 has a strong Christian, moral, redemptive worldview. It promotes prayer, forgiveness, compassion, marriage, strength through unity, and having patience while waiting on the Lord. There’s also a heartfelt scene between Dani and her mother where they grow a little bit closer together.
