Radiant Mobile, the first-ever Christian mobile phone service, is tackling a big goal: to abolish the “spiritual problem of lust.”

“It’s not a judgment; we’re here to help people,” Pastor Chris Klimis, Radiant Mobile’s chief operating officer, told The Christian Post. “I just hadn’t seen a tool that could help people.”

Radiant Mobile is on a mission to “take back the internet for God’s people. We know doing so includes protecting your family while enriching your mobile experience by providing original, Jesus-centric content. Each Radiant Original video is paired with a Reel Game, encouraging active learning through fun, interactive challenges.”

Klimis and Radiant Mobile founder, Paul Fisher, created the service out of concerns for their children. The two wanted to find a way to help protect their children from “accidental exposure to explicit material online,” The Christian Post reported.

“Gen Z has been back in the Church in record numbers. That’s amazing,” Klimis said. “But when you also read 74% of Gen Z men say porn is a problem for them, and you see 64% of Gen Z women say porn is a problem for them, then what I’m trying to say is whatever it is we’re doing in the Church isn’t necessarily becoming what I want to champion: a practical solution to a spiritual problem of lust.”

Radiant Mobile allows parents to place custom restrictions on their children’s phones. This includes over 120 categories like abortion, pregnancy and sexuality content.

“We’re putting a practical tool in place for people who want to opt in, for people who want to have a fence around that so it can’t get in, and at least it takes away some of the temptation,” Fisher said.

“There has been conversation about what Radiant Mobile blocks, what we do not block and who gets to make those decisions. Here is the truth: Radiant Mobile is not here to replace a parent’s authority. We are here to help restore it,” Radiant Mobile shared on Instagram.

The company stressed that parents should decide what their children see online, “Not the media. Not the government. Not big tech. Not telecommunications companies.”

“Radiant Mobile gives families the ability to manage access across 120 different categories of online content,” the Instagram post explained. “Some categories are non-negotiable because they are harmful and unsafe. Others are placed in the hands of parents to decide based on their values, convictions, and what is appropriate for their home.”

“This is not about censorship. This is about parental rights, family values, and giving moms and dads real tools to lead their homes in a digital world that has moved too fast for too long,” the post concluded. “Radiant Mobile is taking back the internet by putting decision-making power where it belongs: back in the hands of parents.”

Radiant Mobile’s goal might be ambitious, but in a culture saturated with porn and dangerous content, providing safe, Christian options is important for families.
