Britt Nicole shared how she saw God move in her life amidst an unexpected week following the release of her newest album II II V.
“My new album I II V has been out just a little over a week! Thank y’all so much for all the love! ♥️ Really happy it’s finally out and thankful for all the people that poured their heart and creativity into this album. My album release week did go a little different than planned…” Nicole wrote on Instagram. “On Monday, I had a writing camp all day, stopped for dinner, and then was headed home, when a car ran a light and hit me. It was just me in the car thankfully.”

“Next thing I know I’m in the hospital getting a CT scan and a chest X-ray singing ‘God is with me’ out loud with the nurses around me,” she continued. “Good news, everything came back good, but the impact of the hit was pretty traumatic and left me feeling sore and not myself for the week. But I have to say when I looked at my totaled car the next day, I really was so sure that God was with me. Really grateful for His constant love and protection and thankful I get to celebrate this release with you guys and keep going forward!”
It is clear that Nicole keeps Christ at the center of her life both through her instinct to sing His praises as she was in the hospital and also after seeing how He protected her during the accident. She has previously discussed how she keeps Christ as a focus, especially during the Christmas season when consumerism can take over for so many Americans.
“[Christmas] is about Christ and it’s about giving, to me, you know, so how can I give? How can I love more and show people Christ through how I love them and how I give?” Nicole previously told Movieguide®. “So that’s something I’ve been thinking about this season.”
Nicole’s new album continues this mission as, even though it is not a Christmas album, it helps give listeners hope while keeping them centered on the Lord.
“You’ve been knocked down so many times / You’ve been held up, but that’s a lie / When they said you weren’t good enough / You held your head up high and gave ‘em love,” she sings in her song “FAITH.”
Amidst this new trial, it is amazing to see just how focused Nicole is on the Lord. Praise the Lord that she is okay and coming away from that accident unscathed, and fired up to continue to praise the Lord in everything that she does.
