Why Jesse Hutch Loves Christmas Movies: ‘My Kids Can Watch’
By Movieguide® Staff
A CHRISTMAS BLESSING stars Jesse Hutch and James Tupper told Movieguide® why they love Christmas movies and creating uplifting entertainment.
“It’s the funnest,” Hutch said of performing in Christmas movies. “To be in something that my kids can watch, that my family can watch, my grandmother can watch, I mean, that’s fantastic.”
“I really love the idea that…if you can do a Christmas movie every year, I mean, it’s just gonna keep coming back. And that’s pretty cool. It’s like a fashion trend, except it comes around a lot more,” he told Movieguide®.
A CHRISTMAS BLESSING is nominated for Movieguide®’s Epiphany Prize® for Most Inspiring TV or Streaming Movie or Program. Hutch is nominated for the Grace Prize® for Most Inspiring Performance for TV.
Tupper, Hutch’s A CHRISTMAS BLESSING co-star, shared why he creates uplifting content.
“I think it’s the most important thing right now. I think like there’s more that unites us as Americans and world citizens than there is that divides us. So I’m glad I’m on the hopeful side, that I’m on the on the good side,” he said.
Hutch opened up about how his faith impacts him personally.
“I’ve always found that the more honest you are with who you are and what you believe, it’s just better for everybody. There’s no space and no place for being fake. And if there is, it’s usually from an insecurity, to be honest, and I’ve had those. And so a lot of what I’ve had to do is just lean further into my faith. And as I do that, I always find more love for my marriage, more love for my children,” he shared.
Hutch and Tupper will be in the Movieguide® Awards Broadcast on GAF on March 7 at 8 p.m. ET.
