Kathie Lee Gifford Reminds Us How We Should Share the Gospel

Kathie Lee Gifford is so grateful for the kindness of God in her life and the calling he has for her.

In an interview with TBN posted to Facebook, she spoke about how she shares the good news of Jesus.

“Every time I had an opportunity to share Jesus or a scripture or anything — any moment that the Holy Spirit would give me in my own spirit I know, say it. Say it in love, say it in tenderness, say it in humor,” she said. “Speak gently and tenderly to people and make them laugh too, if you can. And they will take notice.”

Gifford thanks God for the opportunities he has given her to reach so many people for Him and believes that she is fulfilling the purpose He has for her.

“I have probably reached millions and millions and millions of people with the Gospel. I’m not saying that like, ‘Yay me.’ I’m saying that’s because I’m fulfilling my purpose. And if we make everybody be a cookie cutter and do the same mission and work, that’s not — Jesus said, ‘Go into all corners of the earth and tell everybody,” she said.

Gifford believes we have no reason to be fearful or shy away from telling others about God.

“Why are we afraid to proclaim our Lord?” she asked. “And let people see us, vulnerable and real. I’m not perfect, but I love a perfect God, and He loves me anyway, and He tells me that He wants me to love people who are also not perfect.”

Gifford has been outspoken about her faith throughout her career.

“I felt the Lord’s calling on my life to write a movie for people who don’t know yet that God loves them,” Gifford told The Christian Post. “I didn’t know why I thought that was a strange thing for Him to say to my heart. But I have many, many, many friends, more nonbeliever friends than I have Christian friends actually in my life, people that I share my faith with and they respect it, but they’re not there yet.”

She was recently honored by the Annie Oakley Society thanks to her “big smile of her sparkling personality and her unshakable determination.”

Gifford is “an entrepreneur. She’s honest. She has integrity. She’s talented. She’s made a difference in the lives of others,” society co-chairman Cathy Keating said. “She’s making a difference in the lives of others, and she’s blazing new trails.”

“My hope when you read this book is that you are able to dive into the fascinating, intertwined lives of King Herod and Mary, the Mother of Jesus,” Gifford wrote on Instagram. “You’ll follow Herod’s tumultuous journey from boyhood dreams to his dark, oppressive reign, and witness Mary’s incredible faith and courage as she brings the light of the world into existence.”
