Fox News Digital closed out May 2026 as the No. 1 news organization for multiplatform unique visitors for the third consecutive month, drawing 165 million total digital visitors — a 23% surge over May 2025.

We’re not just competing, we are dominating,” Fox News Channel anchor Bret Baier said at the company’s annual upfront presentation to advertisers in New York City. It wasn’t a boast so much as a box score — every major competitor shed audiences while Fox News grew.

Fox News Digital captured 1.5 billion multiplatform views — No. 1 for the 25th consecutive month — and led all competitors in multiplatform minutes for the 63rd straight month with 3.2 billion, according to Fox News Digital. CNN, CBS News, the New York Times, NBC News and ABC News all shed visitors during the same stretch, meaning Fox News didn’t just grow — it grew as the rest of the field shrank.

CNN’s May numbers tell the starkest story. The network’s 57 million unique visitors, 456 million multiplatform views, and 674 million minutes were all the worst it has posted since data tracking began in 2015 — not just a rough month, but a record low across the board.

On YouTube, Fox News finished No. 1 among all news brands with 338.8 million video views, more than tripling the viewership of each of the three broadcast networks. Second-place MSNOW finished with 212.8 million; CNN managed 154.1 million. ABC News (105.7 million), NBC News (82.4 million), and CBS News (37.6 million) trailed far behind — Fox News outdrew all three broadcast networks combined.

The flagship Fox News YouTube account now tops 15.4 million subscribers, and the Fox News Clips platform continues to build momentum. Fox Business held No. 1 among business brands on YouTube for the 55th consecutive month with 42.2 million video views, per Shareablee.

On social media, Fox News racked up 79.5 million total interactions in May across Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok — including 38.1 million on Facebook and 20.7 million on TikTok — according to Emplifi & Comscore Social. Total social video views hit 1.3 billion for the month.

For the third year in a row, FOX is the only major media company consistently growing audiences,” Fox Corporation CEO Lachlan Murdoch said at the same upfront event. He described FOX as an outlier in a disrupted marketplace, crediting disciplined investment in live news, live sports, and ad-supported streaming rather than chasing scale for its own sake.

The numbers tell a story beyond market share. Audiences make daily choices about where they place their trust, and legacy outlets are losing that trust at historically low rates, month after month. For families who think carefully about media discernment, it matters who is growing and who is shrinking — and it’s worth asking why.

Movieguide® knows something about Fox News’ reach from its own history. Back in 2011, Movieguide® placed its faith-based movie reviews on Fox News Channel, including on FOX & FRIENDS, recognizing the platform’s wide family audience. The audience that drew Movieguide® there has only kept growing — which makes these numbers more than just a business story.
