Here’s How Candace Cameron Bure Really Feels About Becoming a Grandma at 50

Candace Cameron Bure is so ready to be a grandma.

“These are the moments that we wait for in life, you know, to see your kids become adults and see them grow in the way that you’ve raised them and the values and morals and see them play that out in their own life,” she told Fox News anchor Kayley McEnany of watching her children become parents.

“And then watch them make all of those decisions, become parents to nurture and train up their children. And every person that I’ve talked to who is a grandparent said this is the best time in your life, because you do get to marvel in a work well done and…you get to be a bystander and a participant in these new little lives,” Bure explained.

Natasha Perry, Bure’s oldest child, is expecting her first with husband Bradley Steven Perry. The Great American Family actress’ son Lev Bure and his wife Elliott are also adding a little one to their family.

“At 50 years old, all I think about now is legacy and the legacy that I want to [leave]. And I know it’s not by the things I do or a resume or the money I make in life,” Bure added. “My legacy is all about passing down the word of God, having raised my children…to know Him and watch them play that out in their life. It’s just incredible. I can’t wait until my grandbabies are born.”

Earlier this month, Natasha shared a sweet video that captured the moment she told her parents she was having a baby. In the video, Bure repeatedly says, “You’re kidding!” after seeing a sweet display of baby clothes laid out in a hotel room.

“They were very shocked and excited to say the least!!! I don’t think my Papa even understood what was happening, he was just surprised by my mom being so surprised over something. We could not stop laughing and it really was the sweetest moment ever,” Natasha wrote.

News about Lev and Elliott’s baby came shortly after.

“Are you KIDDING?!! Another grandbaby on the way!!!!! Does life get any better?!!! CandyGram x2 = fully ignited 🍭💖👶🏼” Bure posted alongside photos of Lev and Elliott announcing their pregnancy.

People in the comment section congratulated the family.

“No way!!!! Congrats!! Sounds like a Full House! ❤️” one fan said. Another added, “Cousin time for the win!! Doesn’t get any better than this! The best era yet!”

It’s an exciting time in the Bure household and a sweet reminder of the importance of family and new life.
