Lori Loughlin is returning to TV in her new Prime Video police drama, ON CALL.
“Loughlin is among the cast who will be starring in ON CALL, the first scripted streaming series from Dick Wolf’s Wolf Entertainment,” The Hollywood Reporter said Oct. 30. “The police drama for Prime Video will release all eight episodes on Jan. 9, 2025, and adds to Wolf’s prolific slate of LAW & ORDER, CHICAGO and FBI-branded series.”
The “adrenalized and visceral police drama” half-hour series features actors Troian Bellisario, Brandon Larracuente, Eriq La Salle, Loughlin and Rich Ting.
The logline reads: “A rookie (Larracuente) and veteran officer (Bellisario) duo as they go on patrol in Long Beach, California. Incorporating a mixture of bodycam, dash-camera, and cellphone footage to create a cinema verité effect, the innovative series explores the morality of protecting and serving a community.”
“The first-look images Loughlin’s Lieutenant Bishop, along with Bellisario’s hard-charging but protective veteran officer Traci Harmon, who struggles to find her place in the department while training the next generation of officers; Larracuente’s Alex Diaz, an ambitious rookie who grapples with holding onto his optimistic outlook as he realizes the challenges he’ll face in today’s climate; La Salle’s Sergeant Lasman; and Ting’s Sergeant Koyama.
Tim Walsh and Elliot Wolf co-created the drama. La Salle serves as an actor, exec producer and director for the show. Dick Wolf, Elliot Wolf, Walsh and Peter Jankowski are exec producers. Amazon Studios and Universal TV are putting on the show in association with Wolf Entertainment.

The FULL HOUSE actress and Teddy Bear Award® winner recently appeared on CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, where she performed a parody of herself.
CURB’s executive producer Jeff Schafer said about Loughlin, “It’s great to be able to laugh at yourself. It’s a great way to put the past behind you. I hope it helps her career.”
“She was great, and she should work. She was really funny and wonderful to work with. People should see, ‘Oh, she’s really funny. She’s great in this stuff.’ So yeah, I hope she does get to work because she deserves to,” he said.
