Lori Loughlin is sharing her thoughts on the importance of perseverance and opening up about the role faith plays in her life.
“Every day we’re met with different obstacles, but it’s all in how you approach things,” the actress explained in an interview with FIRST For Women. “My advice is to just keep moving forward. Everyone has good times and bad times. That’s life. I think you just have to pick yourself up. Nobody said life was going to be a breeze. There’s beauty in life, but there’s also hardship in life.”
The WHEN CALLS THE HEART actress also discussed forgiveness, saying she’s “not one to hold onto stuff…We’ve all been in positions to ask for forgiveness but to ask for it, you have to learn and know how to give forgiveness, too.”
Loughlin then talked about her faith, explaining that she feels like she has a guardian angel.
“It’s a feeling. I don’t know how to describe it. It could be my father, it could be my grandmother, it could be my grandfather,” she said, adding, “I just feel there’s a higher power looking out for all of us or carrying us through the tough times.”
The actress has previously spoken about her faith, with an inside source telling Us Weekly, “Her faith has gotten her through [her incarceration for her role in the college admissions scandal].”
Loughlin also talked about her recent Great American Family movie, A CHRISTMAS BLESSING. The movie was inspired by Project Angel Food, an organization that Loughlin works with.
“The organization helps so many people and it really feeds your own soul to help others,” the actress said. “Now, the organization has expanded so much. I do deliveries in the morning, drop food off and check in on people. It’s just been great and one of the most rewarding experiences. I love doing it.”
In an interview with Parade, Loughlin elaborated on her volunteer work, saying, “I don’t think a lot of people know that food banks, help feed families year round. Many people do volunteer at food banks during the holidays, but food banks are a necessity all year round. Unfortunately, hunger is a prevalent problem world wide. If you have the time or the means please consider supporting and helping out at your local food bank.”
