Making a Difference in the World: Learn and Serve Abroad

Making a Difference in the World:  Learn and Serve Abroad with Bryan College

Many colleges and universities offer study abroad programs, but at Bryan College, we believe studying abroad goes beyond a classroom overseas. We value putting faith into action and truly becoming the hands and feet of Jesus. We offer many international opportunities to make a difference and share the Gospel with the rest of the world. All of our international programs provide students with opportunities to learn, serve, and minister.

Study Abroad

Students at Bryan College can spend a semester taking classes overseas in three distinct locations:  Italy, Costa Rica, and Scotland. Each program is an innovative semester-long experience is designed to bring together exciting academics, cultural experiences, and personal encounters with a missions lifestyle.

In addition, high school students also have the opportunity to study in Italy. Through the partnership with Saints Bible Institute in San Lorenzo, Italy, high school juniors and seniors can earn three hours of college credit while taking a two-week tour of Italy during the summer.

International Internships

The Acts Project

The Acts Project is a vocational internship in a missions context preceded by an intensive semester of preparation. The preparation course, Missions: Foundations and Applications, meets weekly in a small, highly interactive Bible study setting, where students explore God’s call to cultivate the Gospel around the world and study current trends in missions. Once on the field, Acts Project interns serve alongside believers of many nationalities, and live with missionaries who become cultural guides, vocational mentors, and spiritual friends. Recent internship locations include India, Cambodia, Italy, Spain, Ireland, and Zambia with new locations offered every year.

Mission Trips

Break for Change

Break for Change is a student-led, short-term missions program that cultivates long-term relationships with ministry partners across America and around the world. Students, staff, and faculty are provided annual opportunities to serve alongside various missions.  The program challenges students to dedicate one of their school breaks to be an active part of change in the world. The learning starts before and continues after the trip, as each diverse team of students prepares and travels with a Bryan faculty mentor. Together, they seek practical ways to engage culture, reach people with the gospel, and address real problems in the world. Recent Break for Change international trips include Grand Goave, Haiti and Lima, Peru while domestic destination include Opelousas, Louisiana and Detroit, Michigan.
