Season 1 of A FAITH UNDER SIEGE is a documentary miniseries of four short episodes on the Angel outlet about Russian persecution of Evangelical and Protestant Christians during the Ukrainian-Russian War. It shows Ukrainians attending Protestant, Evangelical church services. It also interviews four people, a pastor, a mother, and a soldier and his wife who get separated when he’s taken prisoner. The four people describe their experiences surviving the darkest days of Russian aggression.

Season 1 of A FAITH UNDER SIEGE is a well-produced, inspiring miniseries. It excels in displaying the faith, courage and resilience of the Ukrainian Christians. The interviewees openly pray and give thanks to God. They describe the situations they endured and the miracles they sometimes experienced. A former prisoner of war quotes the Book of Acts in regards to practicing his Christian faith under the ruthless Russian occupation. A FAITH UNDER SIEGE shows some war footage, including some explosions, some destroyed buildings, vehicles and objects, and images of a few corpses and slightly bloody wounds. Very strong Christian, biblical worldview showcases the Protestant faith and resilience of some Ukrainian people against the ongoing Russian invasion, now in its third year, dozens of Ukrainians attend church services and openly pray for God’s blessings, there are references to some miracles, a pastor does a church service in secret in the middle of an occupied zone, the civilians give thanks to God and His miracles during the war, a former prisoner of war quotes the Book of Acts in regards to practicing his Christian faith under the ruthless Russian occupation, and several Ukrainians are executed due to refusing to worship Russia’s statist propaganda, the movie shows a Russian Orthodox priest who allegedly personally supported torture of a Ukrainian soldier, who eventually was released;

A Ukrainian pastors, a married woman with children, and a Ukrainian soldier and his wife describe their experiences surviving the darkest days of Russian aggression. They brush against surprise raids, child kidnappings and targeted drone bombings, but their Christian faith, including prayer, sustains them and even miraculously delivers them.

A FAITH UNDER SIEGE follows a regular “sit-down” interview format. In Episodes 1 through 4 of Season 1, the filmmakers record the testimonies of four people, a pastor, a mother, and a soldier ad is wife who got separated. with fur people. The Ukrainians detail the Russian occupation, how the invasion nearly wiped out the church, and how God gave the citizens faith in their darkest moments. These civilians come from Protestant backgrounds as well.

A FAITH UNDER SIEGE is well-produced and inspiring. The sound mixing and sit-down interviews are excellent. The series excels in displaying the faith, courage and resilience of Protestant and Evangelical Christians in Ukraine. The interviewees openly pray, speak of miracles and give thanks to God. The interviews are mixed with some real-life news footage of the war. A FAITH UNDER SIEGE gets the job done, but viewers should understand it doesn’t have the large budget that many of the documentaries on the large streaming outlets have.

Season 1 of A FAITH UNDER SIEGE has a strong Christian worldview.. The Ukrainian civilians proclaim the Gospel, they attend church services in secret during the Russian occupation, and they hold steadfast in their faith. The civilians openly resist Russia’s tyrannical government under the brutal dictator Vladimir Putin. A former Ukrainian prisoner of war quotes the Book of Acts in regards to remaining vigilant under the persecution of the Russian army. The Ukrainian pastors and school teachers evacuate their children during the drone bombing raids.

The Russians openly invade an ongoing church mass and threaten the civilians if they don’t end the service. In one testimony, Ukrainian parents explain that their children were kidnapped in a blackmail attempt. The people interviewed mention torture and discuss Ukrainian prisoners refusing to convert to the Russian state religion.

A FAITH UNDER SIEGE shows show some photos of several alleged torture rooms and cells. It also uses archival footage of explosions, bombs hitting a car and a few other objects, and discussion of alleged torture. There are two shots of civilians with slightly bloody wounds on their heads, legs and arms. Lastly, two shots show a few corpses lying on city streets.
