HAPPY’S PLACE will return to NBC for Season 3.

According to an NBC press release, “Reba McEntire and the HAPPY’S PLACE cast are serving up some very exciting news as NBC announced that Season 3 is officially in the works.”

That means that McEntire’s “Bobbie and the rest of the HAPPY’S PLACE cast will be back to serve up another round of laughs and heart. Between HAPPY’S PLACE’s mythic reputation for collecting comedic powerhouse guest stars and the endless workplace shenanigans unfolding at the Knoxville tavern, you never know what might happen next at HAPPY’S PLACE.”

Lisa Katz, president of scripted content for NBC and Peacock, said, “Both ST. DENIS MEDICAL and HAPPY’S PLACE have delivered comedic brilliance over their first two seasons, truly connecting with our audience with hilarious characters, and remain hugely important and successful programs to our primetime and Peacock lineup. A huge thank you to the producers, casts, and crews of both shows who have brought these wonderful stories to life and will now continue to tell their laugh-out-loud stories.”

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE star Cheri Oteri made a guest appearance on HAPPY’S PLACE, and she knew from the very beginning why the show was special.

“I sound so corny, but I tell people [that set] is literally the happiest place. I mean, it’s that title, I walked into the warmest, most supportive group of people…” the actress told NBC Insider after her guest appearance in Season 2. “[The HAPPY’S PLACE cast are] the nicest people in the world. It was such a pleasure…It’s like the whole place is having so much fun with everything, you just feel a part of this group, that you just feel lucky. Everybody’s having fun there. I’m telling you, walking onto that set is like you’re just walking into a big hug.”

Movieguide® provided a review for Season 1, episode 1, which partially reads:

Reba McEntire returns to comedy in HAPPY’S PLACE, streaming on Peacock. Following her father’s death, McEntire’s character, Bobbie, assumes ownership of the family-owned bar. However, her ability to run the business is jeopardized when a previously unknown sister shows up after being named a co-owner in the will. Though the sister challenges the status quo, she just wants a family and a place where she belongs, which Bobbie begrudgingly gives her after realizing their father brought them together for a reason.

HAPPY’S PLACE emphasizes the value of family and includes strong references to Christianity, including Bobbie giving up her worries to God and a prayer at the end of the episode. While the show’s premise relies on an extramarital affair and drinking, both are chastised throughout the show. Though one joke relies on a politically correct comment about a character having fewer opportunities because she isn’t white, overall, the jokes are genuinely funny and make the series an entertaining watch. Furthermore, there is no nudity, violence, or foul language. Thus, Movieguide® finds the show worthwhile, though we advise caution for younger children.

Fans can’t wait to see where HAPPY’S PLACE Season 3 takes their favorite cast of characters!
