Here’s Who’s Headlining TPUSA’s Alternative Super Bowl Halftime Show
Turning Point USA just announced their star-studded lineup for their Super Bowl Halftime Show alternative, Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show.
Headlined by none other than Kid Rock, the show will give families a safe option during the NFL’s Halftime Show, which will feature Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny.
“THE LINEUP FOR THE ALL-AMERICAN HALFTIME SHOW IS HERE! 🔥 Watch Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett THIS SUNDAY 🇺🇸” TPUSA, which was founded by the late Charlie Kirk, announced on Instagram.
“We’re approaching this show like David and Goliath. Competing with the pro football machine and a global pop superstar is almost impossible…or is it?” country rock singer Brantley Gilbert said.
TPUSA first announced plans to put together a family-friendly halftime show back in October after the NFL revealed Bad Bunny as its headliner.
Recent reports allege that Bad Bunny, real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, will “wear a dress on stage during his performance to honor queer icons,” sports analyst Jon Root shared on Instagram.
President Donald Trump said that the rapper and Super Bowl opener Green Day “sow hatred.”
“I’m anti-them. I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible,” he said.

President Trump also told Newmax of Bad Bunny, “I don’t know who he is. I don’t know why they’re doing it. It’s crazy. And then they blame it on some promoter they hired to pick up entertainment. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.”
PEOPLE reported that “Green Day has also been vocal against the Trump administration. In January 2024, Billie Joe Armstrong and his bandmembers changed the lyrics to their hit song ‘American Idiot,’ expressing that they weren’t part of the ‘MAGA agenda,’ per the Los Angeles Times.”
Kid Rock, meanwhile, has been open about his conservative stance lately, even spending leisure time with the President.
Rather than airing on national television like the NFL’s official halftime show, Turning Point USA’s alternative event will be streamed online beginning around 8 p.m. ET on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 8. Platforms include Turning Point USA’s YouTube channel, its accounts on X and Rumble, as well as TBN, Daily Wire+, Real America’s Voice and others.
Whether the alternative show attracts a large audience remains to be seen, but the event demonstrates how the Super Bowl’s halftime show, which was once respected by Americans, has become a way to platform concerning and harmful ideologies.
This alternative should be a wakeup call that Americans desire uplifting values and entertainment that is safe for the whole family to watch.
