Content:
Christian, moral worldview with a death and resurrection highlights family, friendship, helping those in need, the importance of admitting when you’re wrong, and not giving up when circumstances are stacked against you, but with mixed pagan and magical, though sometimes redemptive, elements involving a magical blue flower with magical properties and makes a person poof out glitter and can bring the dead to life, characters rely on constellations to guide the way to the “Gate of Snakes,” where the magical flower is said to be hidden, a character says, “We’re already in Heaven,” and characters wish upon a star, plus a character makes two politically correct jokes about veganism and not eating red meat;
No obscenities or profanities but there’s some insulting language including several uses of the word “stupid,” characters call each other names like “big old greedy river hog” and “stupid bush hog,” characters tell each other to “buzz off” and to “shut it, hose nose,” and a character passes gas to free himself from a hole;
Some cartoon action violence, includes characters chase and kick and hit each other, predatory animals threaten the heroes throughout including an eagle, snakes, a scary fish, jackals, etc., one character has a bloody scratch and gets a black eye, and characters bump into tress, fall off cliffs, hit rocks, and nearly drown;
Light sexual content includes a jackal licks another in a suggestive way, a mole falls in love with an elephant and makes a joke about size not mattering, the mole and the elephant hug, kiss and cuddle several times, and characters hug in friendship and cuddle to keep warm at night;
No alcohol use;
No smoking or drugs;
A character disobeys his grandma to set off on an adventure, characters lie, tease, taunt, fight, and yell at each other but admit when they’re wrong and apologize, one prejudiced character doesn’t want to socialize with other animals but comes around in the end.
