The assassination of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk sparked widespread interest in faith and even countless salvations in what has become known as the “Charlie Kirk Effect.”

Kirk’s widow and new TPUSA CEO Erika Kirk shared some words of wisdom for those exploring faith and for young believers looking to get involved with the organization.

“Buy a Bible, for sure. Make sure you surround yourself with Bible-believing Christians that will pour into you, not just plant a seed and leave, but really water that seed and love on you and walk and do life with you,” Kirk told FOX NEWS SUNDAY.

She stressed the importance of getting involved in church and finding community there.

“[R]eally just dive straight in. Dive straight in. That’s what Charlie would always do,” the mother of two added.

Not only has the “Charlie Kirk Effect” created a surge of people coming to faith — as seen in the recent “Hope For America” event at Utah Valley University (the same university Charlie was killed), led by Pastor Greg Laurie, which saw over a 1,000 people come to Christ — but there has been a growing involvement in TPUSA.

CBN reported that since Charlie’s death, the number of TPUSA college chapters has grown from 900 to 1,400, and for Turning Point’s high school program, “Club America,” the number has grown 1,200 to 3,100 groups.

At this year’s AMFEST, Turning Point’s annual conference, the Kirk encouraged the youth to get involved or to even start their own TPUSA chapter at their school.

“So where you got to be willing to go is on your campus. That means either starting a chapter, joining a chapter, maybe even one day, putting up a tent in the quad,” she said before pausing, acknowledging the weight of that statement, since it was at a campus tent event where her husband was shot.

“We’re not afraid,”she continued.

Kirk told the audience not to let age or connections stop them from getting involved, reminding them that did not deter her husband from starting TPUSA, who co-founded the organization at 18 years old.

“If Charlie listened to every single person that told him you’re too young to make a difference. You don’t have enough connections…He would have let that noise consume him, and he would not have built the machine that he has built today.

“So don’t you dare let anyone tell you you’re too young, you’re not smart enough, you’re not connected enough,” she continued.
