CeCe Winans took a moment to reflect on the faithfulness of God and His presence in moments when we feel overwhelmed.

“When you feel overwhelmed, sometimes you just have to be still and recognize that God is God, and if He said it, He’s going to do it,” she began in a video shared by TBN. “You worry about things because you, for some reason, you don’t think God is going to handle it, you know? And I can look back and say, ‘Man, everything I had to face, He was right there. And He really did step up to the plate, and He took care of it.’”

Winans explained how oftentimes when things don’t go how we hope, we can still look back and be thankful.

“Everything didn’t turn out the way you thought, but really better,” she explained. “You know…there’s some things, you sit back, and you think like, ‘I’m so glad God didn’t listen to me on that.’ I know that’s for sure. He heard me, but He didn’t listen to me, and so I can trust Him.”

The gospel singer is echoing a truth found in Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Winans added, “I would tell my younger self, just trust God. It’s the love of God. He loves you right where you are. You know He knows everything about it. He knows more about us than we know about ourselves, and He loves us with that love. [There’s] nothing we can do to make Him love us more.”

Winans continues to use her platform to encourage others in their faith.

Recently, CCM Magazine announced that the Grammy winner will perform at Nashville’s Big Bash for New Year’s Eve.

“New Year’s Eve on CBS is about to get officially CeCe’d. ✨” the magazine posted on Instagram. “@CeCeWinans takes the stage for New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, sharing the night with some of the biggest names in music—and reminding the world what timeless really sounds like. Watch live December 31 on CBS + Paramount+”

People in the comment section expressed excitement.

“Awesome love me some CeCe Music Excited to Watch♥️♥️♥️♥️ One anointed mighty Woman of God!!🙌🙌♥️” one person said. Another person added, “Bringing the year end praising God 💪🏽”

If you’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed right now, be still before God and trust His plan.
