MASKED SINGER’s Robot Reveals He Joined the Show for His Children

Spoiler alert for the season premiere of THE MASKED SINGER.

When THE MASKED SINGER’s Robot got the booted from the competition on Super Bowl Sunday, audiences and judges were shocked to see an artist who sold 100 million albums worldwide — Lil Wayne.

Though the show has featured a few rappers before, Lil Wayne may arguably be one of the biggest celebrities to hit the stage in the name of family.

“I did it for my kids, [for their] unexpected joy,” said Wayne. “It’s unlike any other experience I’ve ever had musically.”

Wayne has four children, three under the age of 12.

Wayne deviated from his usual crude lyrics for the show.

“My kids watch the show, and I knew they were going to like the Robot costume,” Wayne told host Nick Cannon.

“This is the most shocked I’ve ever been on this show!” declared recording artist and judge Robin Thicke.

THE MASKED SINGER was tricky for Wayne because he isn’t exactly known for his sweet moves.

“I couldn’t focus on the signing part of it, because I had to focus on the choreography of it,” Wayne said on IGTV.

The last season of THE MASKED SINGER included a few Christians, including former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams and Adrienne Bailon.
