Michael Huntley Named Season 24 THE VOICE Winner: ‘So Hungry For This!’

Michael Huntley has been named the winner of Season 24 of THE VOICE.
“As soon as I got my name called, I was in shock,” Huntley said of his win. “You know, [with] just how many no’s I’ve gotten in my life, to get one ‘yes’ was insane.”
He continued, “As I said in a past episode, I went from a park bench to THE VOICE. Now I went from a park bench to the winner of THE VOICE.”
Huntley was a member of coach Niall Horan’s team, and the pair forged a strong friendship.
“Huntley is the kind of guy I’d hang out with anyway,” Horan said of his team member, with Huntley adding, “[Niall] showed me that I can be myself in this industry. I can be my goofy Huntley self, and I love that.”
So, what does Huntley have planned for the next stage of his career?
“I think that my main concern is to take a step back and just breathe and just really take everything in,” the singer said. “This experience has taken half a year. I’ve spent six months away from my kids — my son is speaking in full sentences now. It’s insane.”
Huntley is dad to two kids — Michael and Stella — and, according to his NBC bio, “He never had a relationship with his own father, which motivated him to be very involved in his kids’ lives.”
He continued, “But this has all been so worthwhile. I just want my career. I’m so hungry for this…John [Legend] said he can see me singing in arenas around the world, and that’s something I’m very hungry for. Y’all are not getting rid of me!”
Huntley’s win marks the second win in as many years for Team Niall.

Niall Horan just shared what Blake Shelton told him following his big win on THE VOICE.
Horan, who was a rookie coach on this year’s season of THE VOICE, was the big winner of season 23, alongside his team member, Gina Miles.
He recently shared what Shelton had to say to him immediately following the win.
“When we left the seat, they announced the winner and I stood up, and then he came for a big hug,” Horan laughed. “I gave him a big hug, and he said, ‘I taught you everything you know.’ That’s all he said, not congratulations or anything.”
