Nightbirde’s Golden-Buzzer Performance on AGT Makes YouTube’s Top Ten Most-Viewed Videos of 2021

As 2021 comes to a close, YouTube released its list of the top 10 most-watched YouTube videos. Nightbirde’s golden-buzzer performance on AMERICA’S GOT TALENT was sitting at the No. 7 spot on the list.

“OH MY. Mine was the seventh most viewed video on YouTube in 2021. Holy Wow, what in the world?! 🙈😲 Thanks for watching and sharing, everyone,” Nightbirde wrote on Instagram.

Nightbirde, whose real name is Jane Marczewski, inspired audiences worldwide with an original song called IT’S OK, which outlined her years of battling severe cancer.

On June 8, Marczweski walked onto the stage with a smile as judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara posed their introductory questions.

Behind her joyful attitude, the 30-year-old Marcweski revealed that she was battling cancer in her lungs, lymph nodes, ribs, liver, and spine.

However, before singing an original song called “It’s OK,” Marcweski noted that her happiness is not rooted in her circumstances.

“It’s important that everyone knows that I’m so much more than the bad things that happened to me,” she told the judges.

Marcweski described the song as “a story of the last year of my life.”

Although Marcweski explained that she had only a 2% chance of beating her cancer this time around, she quickly added: “But 2% is not 0%. Two percent is something, and I wish people knew how amazing it is.”

Nightbirde’s astounding optimism despite her circumstances wowed audiences from around the world.

While the 30-year-old singer is candid about her difficult situation, she encouraged fans throughout 2021 to choose thanksgiving and hope over fear and bitterness.

Nightbirde shared in a recent health update from November:

I think life sometimes is a game of choose your pain. So the pain of continuing or the pain of giving up. So the pain of continuing, there’s a lot more uncertainty that way, but I think the pain of giving up is so much worse.

I wish we would get a faster miracle but it’s happening slow, little by little, day by day. I’m getting a little better. I did get a scan result back and a bunch of stuff that was there has now disappeared and a bunch of the really big stuff has gone down in size. So we’re on the way.

The miracle that I wanted is that I could skip the pain, you know, that this would go away super fast. Or maybe that it wouldn’t have happened at all. And I didn’t get that miracle not yet. But there’s 100 other miracles and I only take the ones that tastes sweet, I won’t get any miracles at all. So I’m grateful for what I have.
