DUCK DYNASTY’s Sadie Robertson Huff has an important message for high school seniors, sharing the importance of her time at Liberty University.
“The relationship between Liberty and the Robertson family really goes way back,” she said in a recent YouTube video, sharing that she and family members John Luke, Mary Kate, Will, Abby and Bella have all attended the school
She continued, “I have always loved that Liberty’s mission is to train champions for Christ. I think that’s so important because when you think about the college years, I think so many people think about, like, the years that they’re going to go wild and crazy…and there’s just nowhere in the Bible where it gives space for you to just go have your years to live in sin. God calls you from the minute you say yes to Him.”

“This moment right here is bigger than just school,” Huff said, advising high school students who might be considering Liberty to not “step out in fear,” but “know that you are filled with the spirit of God.”
Liberty University’s mission statement is posted on the school’s website, stating, “Maintaining the vision of the founder, Dr. Jerry Falwell, Liberty University develops Christ-centered men and women with the values, knowledge, and skills essential to impact the world.”
“Through its residential and online programs, services, facilities, and collaborations, the University educates men and women who will make important contributions to their workplaces and communities, follow their chosen vocations as callings to glorify God, and fulfill the Great Commission,” the statement continues.
Huff has returned to Liberty many times to speak to the students. In November of 2025, she and the rest of her family spoke at a Convocation.
“Such a special thing about Liberty is that it was never about just getting a degree; it was about Training Champions for Christ,” Mary Kate said. “Our ministry is in our everyday life, no matter where we find ourselves.”
John Luke shared some of the things that he learned at Liberty, saying, “Something I learned the most being here is that love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness, how to be a good friend, how to worship, how to teach, and how to show up for someone are all reflections of the reality that God calls us to, and it’s possible to do that in the outside world, but you have to build it yourself.”
Huff’s words are an encouragement for high school seniors who are wondering where they’ll spend the next four years.
