On Sunday, HELP! I WRECKED MY HOUSE’s Jasmine Roth’s baby daughter had an accident that required seven stitches in her head.
“Today was a rough one. Darla had her first ER visit (our first since having kids) and it was a LOT,” Roth wrote. “She fell off the couch and hit the coffee table just right so she had a 1/2″ indentation where her eyebrow was supposed to be.”
Roth was home alone with Darla, 20 months, and 6-year-old Hazel when it happened, TV Insider reported.
“Darla is ok, but it took 7 stitches to close her back up,” Roth shared. “She was such a trooper. I’m going to put our coffee table in storage until the kids are in college.”
In a rough Instagram story photo of Darla’s wound, Roth wrote, “You guys, I’ve never seen anything like this. I was so scared for her. Hazel was screaming because she was scared too but we had to act fast. Poor baby cried but was so brave.”
She shared a reminder to other parents that they need to make it a priority to keep their children as safe as possible when things go wrong.
Roth said it was “traumatic,” but after the sedation wore off, “it was almost like it didn’t happen for [Darla].”
She feels “lucky it wasn’t worse and we were able to take her home to rest and play. Sending love to all the parents who are having tough times right now. You aren’t alone.”

When the accident happened, Roth was trying to find her unborn baby’s heartbeat. When she was at the ER, she asked the doctor to listen and they weren’t able to find it. Once they got Darla safely home, Roth went to an OB emergency room, where they showed her the baby was fine and doing “gymnastics” in her womb.
Her baby is due in the fall.
Roth and her husband had struggled to conceive Darla, so the third pregnancy came as a big surprise.
“I was completely shocked and instantly emotional,” she said.
“Having two kids already, we both know how much adding another baby changes everything, and I’ll never forget that moment of realizing together, ‘Okay…this is really happening,’” continued Roth. “There’s nothing else like that feeling.”
The couple said they will hold off on revealing the new baby’s gender for a while.
It’s great that all of Roth’s little ones are okay now. The mom feels reassured she doesn’t have anything to fear.
