Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Reece Weaver just earned a new title: Charlotte Tilbury’s Darling of the Month, the latest recognition for a woman who has made her faith as visible as her sequined uniform.

“Jesus is King of my heart and is whom I owe everything to,” she told K-LOVE — and she has said as much on Netflix, in podcasts and all over Instagram.

Weaver became a household name when Netflix’s AMERICA’S SWEETHEARTS documented her rookie season with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and Movieguide® has covered her story since the series dropped in 2024.

Here are 13 times Weaver let her faith do the talking.

  1. Her Instagram bio isn’t a flex — it’s a mission statement. Matthew 5:16 and the phrase “dancing for an audience of One” have sat there since before anyone outside Dallas knew her name.
  2. “I am dancing for an audience of one. Anytime I hit the turf, I am going to do this for the Lord,” she told K-LOVE, explaining what that bio actually means in practice.
  3. When Netflix cameras caught her before her in-person audition, she said something that stopped a lot of viewers cold. “God is in control of this whole process. So whatever is meant to happen is meant to happen,” she said.

  5. Producers asked what she hoped people would take from watching AMERICA’S SWEETHEARTS. “I pray that whoever watches this one day sees God and not me,” she told them.
  6. The day she made the team, she went to Instagram not to celebrate herself but to redirect the credit. “Wherever I go, and whatever I do, may it bring Him glory and shape me into the Reece God has made me to be. God is so faithful and His goodness has been so evident,” she wrote, quoting Psalm 37:3-4.
  7. She added a rallying cry for anyone still waiting on their own dream: “It is my prayer that I may be a living testament to people across the world to chase after your dreams. God’s timing, plans, and His purpose for your life, is greater than anything you can imagine. All you have to do is allow God to use you.”
  8. On Sadie Robertson Huff’s “Whoa That’s Good” podcast, Weaver described wrestling with the sheer scale of the Cowboys dream: “I always looked at this dream, and I was like, ‘Okay, Lord, you laid this on my heart. This is really massive, and I know you are way bigger. How are we going to get there? Because this is insane.'”
  9. The moment she submitted her first audition video, she handed the outcome over. “It’s out of my hands now. Lord, this is all you, and whatever happens, may you be glorified throughout it all,” she recalled on the same podcast.
  10. Making it to in-person auditions was already answered prayer enough for her. “The Lord was so faithful, and I got to the in-person auditions. From there I had this peace that no matter what happened — if I fell flat on my face or anything — I know that my prayer has been answered,” she said.
  11. The Netflix spotlight surprised her, and she didn’t pretend otherwise on the “Unplanned” podcast. “Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that this was in the Lord’s plan. Obviously He does exceed and gives far abundantly than we could ever ask,” she said.
  12. She credits God’s timing with her marriage too. She met husband Will at an Alabama Crimson Tide basketball game — right in the middle of COVID — and sees his arrival in her life as no coincidence. “I feel like our time that we met is such a true testament to the Lord’s faithfulness and His timing, because we met in very uncertain times,” she told K-LOVE.
  13. When an injury sidelined her during a recent season, she went to Instagram and named it honestly rather than spinning it. “The Lord answers prayers in mysterious ways. Sometimes they’re answered beautifully, giving you more than you could ever ask for…and other times, they don’t make sense,” she wrote.
  14. She wrapped that same post with a word of encouragement that landed like a benediction: “I am most thankful for the Author of my story. He’s proven time and time again that He knows what He’s doing, even when I don’t. And that’s true for you today!”

Movieguide® first covered Weaver’s “audience of One” faith when AMERICA’S SWEETHEARTS premiered in 2024. Nearly two seasons and a Charlotte Tilbury campaign later, the same conviction runs through every word she says publicly — which makes her kind of refreshing in a space not exactly known for it.
