‘Stay Faithful’: Wife of TWILIGHT Star Encourages Waiting on God’s Plan
By Movieguide® Contributor
Brittany Lynn Lutz, wife of TWILIGHT star Kellan Lutz, just shared an encouraging message about staying faithful, even when you’re waiting for God’s plan to match your own.
“Waiting for your dreams and desires to turn to reality can be uncomfortable, annoying, frustrating, and downright painful,” she wrote on Instagram. “But if you wait well- if you stay faithful and don’t turn bitter- that is what enlarges your capacity to enjoy that desire when you get it.”
Lutz continued, “It’s who you become in the waiting that makes you able to carry the weight of the blessing when you get it. Waiting isn’t easy. Especially when you’re choosing to wait on God rather than taking it into your own hands.”
She acknowledged that “waiting on God’s best is hard,” but “dealing with the consequences of forcing something not God’s best is even harder.”
“I’ve done both,” Lutz said. “But I can tell you that waiting for what’s right instead of making something happen ‘right now’… that is always beyond worth it.”
Lutz frequently shares messages of faith and encouragement on Instagram.
In a recent post, she wrote, “You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139) and God has the most incredible life for you…You might have to get up and walk away from some things and some people in order to access God’s best. But I can speak from experience that although it is often hard, it is beyond worth it.”
Another post saw her spreading a similar message about accepting God’s plan for us.
“Sometimes we forget simple things like praising God for what He’s going to do before He’s done it. It is like medicine to our souls to praise Him in faith for what’s to come,” Lutz wrote. “This is how our faith grows. He hasn’t forgotten you. He doesn’t promise to not come through.”
Movieguide® previously reported on Lutz’s video devotional series:
Brittany Lynn Lutz is reminding viewers to focus on eternity in the latest installment of her video devotional series.
“It’s natural to anxiously wonder whether it’s all going to work out,” Lutz said. “Faith says that we believe our God to be bigger than our circumstances and that He can do anything and everything, but God isn’t a performer, waiting to fulfill the latest desires of our hearts.”
She explained that, while God is “the provider,” He is also “the father,” and our relationship with Him is centered on love.
“God sees every moment and strategically interweaves our moments, joys, and frustrations into the lives of others,” she said. “He doesn’t do this for us to please us or satisfy us. He does this for the master purpose of eternity.”
Lutz continued, “We must trust that what’s happening in our lives is actually working together for a good that is eternal and magnificent.”
