Singer Urges Fans to ‘Give Jesus a Chance’ — It’ll Change Your Life

Christian artist Tauren Wells recently shared a powerful sermon about the power of choice and how it can change your life.
“Knowing that God is so kind and He’s so good that even the wrong choices we’ve made can get us within reach of Jesus,” he said in a video shared on Instagram. “I don’t know what choices you have made in your life. I don’t know the good, the bad or the ugly, but I know that those choices have led you to this place today. A place of forgiveness, a place of freedom, a place of healing, a place within reach of Jesus.”
Wells continued, “One good choice, one good decision. I didn’t come to guilt you over your choices. I didn’t come to condemn you for your decisions. I didn’t come to judge the path that you took to get here today, and the good news is neither did Jesus. For He came not into the world but to condemn but to give you life more abundantly. What I can tell you today is you have the opportunity to make one good choice that could change the direction of not only your life but your eternity today. One good choice.”
Wells elaborated on the theme of his sermon in the caption of the video, writing, “Jesus left the 99 sheep to find the one that had wandered astray, the woman searched the entire house for the one coin she lost out of ten, and the prodigal son, despite squandering his inheritance, was welcomed back with open arms. Even in His final breaths, He reached out to the thief beside Him on the cross and continues to reach for you today.”
“Jesus didn’t come to guilt, condemn, or judge you for your past decisions; He came to offer you grace and new beginnings,” he continued. “Today, you have the chance to make one good choice that can transform your life and your eternity — give Jesus a chance!”
Earlier this summer, Wells released “Take It All Back.” The single has already racked up over 20 million streams on Spotify.
“Some friends of mine — We The Kingdom and Davies are featured on it — took it to the next level,” Wells told Songwriter Universe. “That’s an anthem…to go back and get what’s been stolen from you. Go get your good days back, go get your smile back. Go get your energy back and your health back. Sometimes we give it away, and sometimes it’s taken away. But I believe that we have the power to get some of those things back, and to rise up against all odds and live a life that we never thought possible.”
Movieguide® previously reported on Wells’ music and how it is influenced by his faith:
Wells recently shared why he makes music and what inspired his next album.
“I think songs are a great doorway into more truth, and that’s why I’m passionate about making music with a conscience, making music with depth that can point people to deeper truths that inspire them in their whole life,” Wells said.
Wells also shared how he wants to change things up in his upcoming album.
“Next album, we’re in exploration mode right now,” he said. “I know that I want what comes next to be the natural flow from my heart.”
“I do really value collaboration…Now I just want to be in this place of, ‘God did it’ and I want to get in that flow,” Wells explained. “That’s the hope. We’re gonna see what happens but I’ve got so many voice memos on my phone and little song ideas that I can’t wait to see [what] comes to life.”
Wells is currently on “The Takeback Tour” with fellow Christian singers Danny Gokey and Ryan Ellis.
“I’m excited for Danny and I along with Ryan to bring our passion for music and inspiration to every city we visit,” he said. “Get ready for a tour that will touch your heart, lift your spirits, and leave you feeling empowered!”
