ROCK THE BLOCK is rocking more than just neighborhoods. The hit HGTV series is now the “highest rated premier season since 2023.”
Warner Bros. Discovery reported that the show “rating delivered an impressive triple-digit increase of 179 percent over the prior six weeks.”
Not only did ROCK THE BLOCK boast high viewership ratings but also pulled high engagement on social media. WBD reported there were “5.1 million total impressions and 3.8 million video views on HGTV’s Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Threads.”
Over 1.6 million people also viewed the ROCK THE BLOCK page on HGTV.com.
ROCK THE BLOCK is hosted by Ty Pennington as he leads teams to renovate homes. HGTV’s description reads, “Top HGTV designers have just weeks and a limited budget to renovate four blank-slate homes on the same block in Utah with their signature styles. The designers who net the highest appraisal get bragging rights and a street named in their honor.”
Pennington took to Instagram to celebrate the most recent episode of the show where DIVIDED BY DESIGN stars Eilyn and Ray Jimenez helped judge. “🌵TONIGHT🌵 it’s week three on #RockTheBlock and the teams tackle their main suites and make massive moves as some desperately seek their first win. DIVIDED BY DESIGN stars @eilynjimenez_ and @rayjimenez_ judge the stunning spaces 🙌🏼” Pennington said.
“Let’s go!!! 💪🏻” Eilyn Jimenez said in the comment section. Another person added, “Hey Ty & the gang love you all and you are great and can’t wait to see what you do!”
This season has a different twist than previous ones, with two rookie teams competing against two veteran teams. “Whoever finishes with the highest appraised home value will be declared the winner,” TVLine revealed.
It stars newbies Chelsea and Cole DeBoerr, as well as Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama. The vets are Alison Victoria and Michel Smith Boyd and Jonathan and Jordan Knight and Jordan Knight.

It’s also not the first time ROCK THE BLOCK has seen stellar success. Last season, the series became “HGTV’s highest-rated series to date,” Pennington posted.
“Ratings juggernaut ROCK THE BLOCK delivered HGTV’s top series three years in a row and appeals to millions of fans in our key demos,” Interim Head of Content at HGTV Betsy Ayala said of the show’s long streak of success. “We incorporate a surprise element each season, and this season we’re taking the format to the next level by mixing returning block vets and some first-time contenders to amp up the competition and create some unexpected twists.”
This season focuses on Hamlet Homes in Utah. Contestants begin with identical homes and choose how to renovate them in their own exciting way. Fans will likely keep pushing the show to new heights.
