THE LITTLE MERMAID (2023) - 9/1/2023
Ariel, a beautiful mermaid, desperately wants to see what humans are like and is willing to do whatever it takes to find out in THE LITTLE MERMAID. THE LITTLE MERMAID has a moral worldview showing an evil witch who is seen as bad. Although this is the case, the movie does have some scary elements for younger children.

HUGO - 9/1/2023
HUGO follows the story of a young teenage boy who lives in the train station of Paris in 1930 and unlocks a secret that transforms his life and the crotchety godfather of his new friend, Isabelle. HUGO imaginatively presents the intelligent design argument for God and is filled with a childlike sense of wonder, adventure, and comedy and has an uplifting, redemptive ending, although there’s no mention of God other than iconography. Also, there are a few scary moments that require caution for younger children.

OCTOBER SKY - 9/1/2023
Based on a true story, the movie tells how a West Virginia teenager named Homer in 1957 starts building home-made rockets with his friends so that they can eventually win a prize at the state science fair. Homer's father is the major obstacle the "rocket boys" face in their goal to escape the confined world of their mining hometown. The movie's pro-family, moral worldview is marred by more than 30 obscenities and one line of dialogue about teenage premarital sex that is not rebuked.
