ALIENS VS. PREDATOR: REQUIEM

What You Need To Know:

ALIENS VS. PREDATOR: REQUIEM takes the battle against the alien monsters to small-town America. The movie opens with the alien monster specimens on a Predator spaceship attacking the Predators on board, causing the spaceship to crash on Earth, in a forest near a small Colorado town. Another Predator on the Predator homeworld follows the crashed spacecraft to Earth, where he finds that the alien monsters have started attacking the people in the town. As the Predator begins hunting and killing the alien monsters, the townspeople slowly realize to the fact that some kind of outer space monster has invaded their town. The local sheriff bands together with a recently released convict and a female soldier just returned from overseas. The alien monsters multiply rapidly, leaving it questionable whether anyone can survive, including the Predator.

Too many main characters dilute the drama and the action in this movie. Thus, ALIENS VS. PREDATOR: REQUIEM is only mildly captivating. Of course, sensitive viewers must also cope with graphic, gory violence and lots of strong foul language. The ALIENS and PREDATOR franchises deserve better treatment than this, but, then again, perhaps they don’t.

Content:

Of course, sensitive viewers must also cope with graphic, gory violence and lots of strong foul language. ALIEN movies haven’t been much good since the first two, and the PREDATOR series hasn’t been any good since the first one. The ALIENS and PREDATOR franchises deserve better treatment than this, but, then again, perhaps they don’t.
