Forrest Frank recalled how a prophetic word from a young girl encouraged him to jump into Christian music and trust that the Lord was going to do big things through his work.
“If I go way back before I ever did Christian music, I think I actually had ‘No Longer Bound’ finished but it wasn’t released, and a girl came up to me in church… she was like, ‘Hey, God gave me a dream about someone named Forrest Frank, and these people are saying your name’s Forrest Frank. So, can I share this dream with you?’” Frank told the “Never Had a Bad Day” podcast. “I’m like, ‘Yeah, sure.’ And there was all these intricacies with it. And a lot of it was this prophetic thing about, ‘Hey, I think you’re supposed to do Christian music and you’re going to, like, change the game, basically.’”

Frank, of course, has gone on to do just that, bringing Christian music to a mainstream audience, topping the charts multiple times. The prophetic dream, however, had even more to offer which Frank has seen play out as his career continues to evolve.
“In that promise was this Isaiah 61 prophetic vision, and I might be misquoting it. I think this is in there, but it’s like, the children will return to their fathers and the fathers will return to their children. And it talks about garments of praise. And it talks about the ruins being rebuilt. And then even something about – I’m paraphrasing here – stuff was built in vain. The Gentiles, or whatever, have built stuff in vain and God’s going to, like, flip that. It’s going to go to His people in this season,” Frank said.
“And so, all of that was in this prophetic word about that,” he continued. “And I’m thinking about these venues. I’m like, ‘Hey, this room was created technically for idolatry, right? This was not built to praise the Lord, but we’re walking in here and we’re claiming it for the Lord.’ And that’s flipping it and flipping it. And I just feel like this is a symbol and a sign of what’s happening outside, too.”
This revival is taking place across the country as Christians in many sectors use their platforms to share the gospel and bring the word of God to the next generation. In the sports world, for example, many of the top athletes are Christians who discuss their faith at any opportunity. NBA Superstar Steph Curry, for example, has been candid about his faith and shared his gratitude for the platform basketball gives him to share his beliefs.
“I love that basketball gives me the opportunities to do good things for people and to point them towards the Man who died for our sins on the cross,” Curry wrote in an article for the Fellowship for Christian Athletes. “I know I have a place in heaven waiting for me because of Him, and that’s something no earthly prize or trophy could ever top.”
Praise the Lord for the way He is moving and bringing millions back to Him through the most unlikely of ways. Whether it be through sports or the music world, the Lord is reaching the younger generation.
