SAVING BIKINI BOTTOM: THE SANDY CHEEKS MOVIE is an animated comedy on Netflix set in the world of SpongeBob SquarePants. Sandy Cheeks is an intrepid squirrel and marine biologist living in Bikini Bottom. One morning, she and SpongeBob watch helplessly as a giant shovel scoops up Bikini Bottom and takes it away. Sandy notices the shovel comes from her lab in Galveston, Texas. She and SpongeBob ride a volcano vent and a plane to rescue their friends. However, a Texas twister blows them off course. Meanwhile, the lab’s new owner plans to turn Bikini Bottom’s inhabitants into cloned, cuddly living toys.

SAVING BIKINI BOTTOM: THE SANDY CHEEKS MOVIE is funny, absurd and silly, with wacky characters. Sandy is the most adorable character on SPONGEBOB. She has a good heart and loves to be with her friends in Bikini Bottom. SAVING BIKINI BOTTOM has a heartwarming theme of family saving family. There are some slightly scary scenes in SAVING BIKINI BOTTOM, however. For example, Sandy’s family helps her and SpongeBob fight a band of hungry rattlesnakes. SAVING BIKINI BOTTOM: THE SANDY CHEEKS MOVIE is an animated comedy on Netflix where Sandy Cheeks, the intrepid squirrel and marine biologist living on Bikini Bottom, and her friend, the eternally optimistic SpongeBob SquarePants, must rescue the inhabitants of Bikini Bottom from a crazed woman who wants to turn them into a line of cloned, cuddly living toys. SAVING BIKINI BOTTOM is typical SpongeBob, funny, absurd and silly, with a heartfelt theme about family saving family, but there are some slightly scary parts, such as a scene where Sandy’s Texas family helps her fight off a band of hungry rattlesnakes.

The movie opens with Sandy waking up one morning and singing about how much she loves science and collecting data in Bikini Bottom. She greets her friend, SpongeBob. Suddenly, a giant excavation shovel scoops up Bikini Bottom as Sandy and SpongeBob watch helplessly. Sandy is surprised to see the shovel belongs to her lab in Galveston, Texas.

Sandy and SpongeBob ride a volcano vent into the sky and land on a plane headed for Houston. They jump off the plane when it nears Galveston, and SpongeBob is surprised to learn that Sandy’s a flying squirrel. However, a Texas tornado scoops them up and takes them 600 miles off course.

Meanwhile, the inhabitants of Bikini Bottom and their town are placed in a large fishbowl. The new owner of the lab, Sue Nahmee, has transformed the area around the lab into a water park. She plans to transform the creatures of Bikini Bottom into air breathing creatures and sell them as a line of cloned, cuddly living toys.

Can Sandy and SpongeBob get to the lab in time to save their friends?

In the end, Sandy realizes how blessed she is to have two families, her Texas relatives and her friends in Bikini Bottom.

There are some slightly scary scenes in SAVING BIKINI BOTTOM. For example, Sandy’s family helps her and SpongeBob fight a band of hungry rattlesnakes. Also, they have to fight a scary robot creature in the movie’s climax. SAVING BIKINI BOTTOM also has a few jokes about passing gas. When Sandy and SpongeBob ride two tornados, for instance, they run across three cowboys eating beans each time. The second time, they’re downwind of the cowboys.
