More Detail:
At the beginning of the episode, Rosemary searches everywhere for an interesting story for her debut radio episode. She finds it in comic books. The kids of Hope Valley are wild for comic books, picking up extra jobs to earn money for them and even reading them during class.
Meanwhile, Nathan is dealing with a new cadet, Oliver, who is eager but lacks confidence. Nathan allows Oliver to work on a case with him and is impressed by his skill, which encourages Nathan to give Oliver additional responsibilities.
Leland and Lucas are still working on plans for the new park, but Edwin complicates things when he tells them they must name the park after a wealthy businessman or family to secure their vote to establish the park. Lucas refuses, as he has already promised him that the park will be named after Goldie. However, after a visit from a representative of the Valley’s ranchers, Lucas reconsiders the borders of the park — the ranchers need the land for their cows. When he brings it to Leland, Leland gets angry and tells Lucas his promises mean nothing if he doesn’t keep his word. He leaves to go back to Hope Valley.
