More Detail:
Across the first two episodes, choosing the correct path and reaching the end of the story successfully isn’t difficult. The experience is not trying to “win the game,” but in replaying each episode and trying new options. In this episode, the choices are as interconnected as episode one, which is a disappointment. Beautiful shots of the remote jungle exist throughout. Grylls is a capable actor, which is good because some of the situations in the story are obviously staged. Grylls’ occasional lessons on survival continue in this episode. There’s no serious objectionable content, so the whole family will enjoy this episode. A strong emphasis on human survival troubles the second episode’s basically moral worldview.
