Imagine No Lawsuit

If you saw the EXPELLED movie, then you heard a 15-second clip of the John Lennon song “Imagine” and criticism by Ben Stein of the meaning of the lyrics.
Lennon widow Yoko Ono recently sued the producers and film distributors claiming that they had no right to use the song, though the defendants stood on the fair use doctrine of the copyright law. No one asked the former Beatles backup singer that if there would have been a lawsuit had the movie praised the song or had not been about the truth of intelligent design. But no matter, the U.S. District Court recently blocked the lawsuit, citing “fair use.”
Imagine that!
