Most Americans Say Religion Is “Important”

Most Americans, 56%, say religion is “very important” in their life, according to the Pew Forum’s U.S. Religious Landscape Survey, with 82% saying it is very or somewhat important.

Only 16% say religion is not too important or not at all important.
