 THINK LIKE A DOG is a wholesome, entertaining movie about a brilliant middle school student who invents a headset contraption to hear other people’s thoughts. Oliver’s dog puts on Oliver’s science fair invention. Suddenly, Oliver can hear his dog’s thoughts. Oliver starts talking to the dog about his problems. His parents are thinking about separating, but Oliver’s dog tells him the most important thing in life is love and family. The two of them devise a plan to remind Oliver’s parents that material things aren’t important, but family and commitment are.

THINK LIKE A DOG has a strong moral worldview stressing the importance of family and love. The movie states that all other things are not as important as family and love, including material goods or job offers. The movie is wholesome and has very little questionable content. THINK LIKE A DOG is a well-made movie that’s fun for the whole family. The movie has a lower budget than a major theatrical release, but the storyline is done well enough that the plot moves along at a brisk, engaging, enjoyable pace.

THINK LIKE A DOG is a wholesome, entertaining comedy about a brilliant middle school student who invents a contraption that can hear his dog’s thoughts. THINK LIKE A DOG has a strong moral worldview, with some great messages about commitment, love and family.

Oliver is a middle schooler who goes to a tech school. He plays video games online with his friend who lives in China, Xiao. The two of them like to create and invent things. When it’s time for the science fair, Oliver is excited to show his classmates his invention: a headset that will be able to hear the thoughts of others. As Oliver gets up there, chooses an audience member and tries out the invention, the audience member lies that Oliver did not read his mind. Saddened and knowing it works, Oliver goes home distraught.

When Oliver gets home, his dog gets hold of the invention and starts communicating with Oliver. Extremely excited to hear the thoughts of his best friend, his dog, Oliver starts talking to him about his problems. His parents are thinking about separating, but it’s Oliver’s dog who tells him that the most important thing in life is love and family. The two of them devise a plan to get his parents not to separate and remind them that material things aren’t important, but family and commitment are.
