Trio band Cain may have released their song, “I Made It,” earlier this year, but it’s the perfect anthem for 2026.
Here are some of the lyrics:
Been a long year
Cried some hard tears
On some dark nightsTried to pray through
Nothing seemed to
Make the wrongs rightOh, I can’t believe the pain I’ve seen
But looking backRelated: Struggling to Survive? This Anthem Will Encourage Your Faith Today
Through every step
You never left
And I’m so thankful thatI’m coming out the other side stronger
One foot in front of the other
Hands still raising
Heart still praising
I made it
Cain shared a clip of the song and captioned, “You didn’t think you’d still be standing, but here you are. There’s one week left in 2025 — take a minute and look back on all God brought you through. 2026 is going to be your year in Jesus’ name 🙌🏻”
The band got inspiration for this song back in 2024.
“In 2024, a word was spoken over us; that word was survival,” said singer Taylor Cain Matz. “We were surprised at the heaviness of that word because, up until that point, our lives had been pretty seamless.”
“Shortly after, things got hard for us, not just one of us but all of us, including our families and spouses. And I can see how that year was surviving,” she explained. “And this season brought us to our knees.”
It was a hard time for everyone, but God brought them through it — which was worth celebrating. So they decided to write a song about their struggles and victory.
Singer Madison Cain Johnson said, “There is a purpose in this life, even if it isn’t how you imagine it, and it doesn’t mean that God is not receiving the glory and the victory right now. I’m proud of us because we submitted to it instead of trying to fight the season we were in. We found out that surviving can be where the victory is.”
Logan Cain’s hardship was a miscarriage that he and his wife, Emily, experienced.
But, “God really has been so kind…What I was praying for in the middle of that chaos was peace,” he said on Annie F. Down’s podcast. “And what I got was joy. And the sensation of the joy of the Lord being my strength felt like a like a calm, still quietness.”
So as you step into 2026, remember how far God brought you in 2025. He’s on your side.
