IRON MAN AND HIS AWESOME FRIENDS is an animated show streaming on Disney+. The show features Iron Man and his team, which includes Iron Heart and Iron Hulk. The team must protect the community from invading villains threatening to terrorize the town. In the first three episodes of Season 1, each episode contains two distinct 11-minute mini-stories.

In Episode 1.1 of Iron Man and His Awesome Friends, Ultron shows up to terrorize the community’s children with a special device that strips them of all their toys. The Iron Friends must find a way to stop him and protect the town’s children. In the second mini story of episode 1, Iron Hulk accidentally turns a food cart into a giant robotic chicken that tries to trap all the citizens in the street with gooey eggs it throws at them. Along the way, the Iron Friends discover how to better help and protect the community with their special powers.

In Episode 1.2, the Stark Expo is just kicking off, and everyone is ready and waiting for the exhilarating fireworks show that is soon to come. However, things are disrupted when Ultron shows up and sabotages the event. He has a machine affixed to his flying glider that shoots giant stickers of his face. He starts shooting them at the people strolling around the Expo. The Iron team doesn’t miss a beat and suits up quickly to take on the evil Ultron and save the day.

In the second mini story of episode 1.2, Iron Heart creates special shoes that enable the wearer to bounce indefinitely. The only problem is that she forgot to put a kill switch on it, so the wearer can’t ever stop bouncing, which becomes a problem when an evil villain lays hands on them and uses them to terrorize the community. The Iron team must stop him before he destroys the whole town. In this episode, family is highlighted, with a tight bond between Iron Man and his father.

In Episode 1.3 of Iron Man and His Awesome Friends, Ultron once again shows up, and this time he is trying to build himself a new headquarters right on the beach. But to do this, he must tear down the pier that houses all the food carts and carnival rides. Ultron doesn’t care and goes to work ripping it apart. The Iron team must unite to stop him before he destroys the town’s beloved pier.

In the second mini story of episode 1.3, the Iron team is enjoying delicious pies in the warm summer sun when suddenly a villain, armed with stink bugs as henchmen, descends on the town to spoil the day. The Iron team must drop what they’re doing to chase the villain down.

The broad storylines can feel repetitive at times; however, each story has its own little twist and uniqueness. The voice actors are phenomenal, with Tony Hale absolutely doing a fantastic job voicing Ultron and Mason Blomberg as Iron Man.
