Content creator, singer and entrepreneur Lindsey Gurk is adding another job to her resume — author.
“I’ve been sitting with this news, trying to find the words, which I find ironic considering words are kind of my thing. (To all the other ‘talks too much during class’ gals out there…you feel me?),” Gurk, known for her comical, rapid-fire takes on everyday life, posted.
“Signing with a publisher for my first book isn’t just a milestone. It’s the thing I almost talked myself out of a hundred times,” she revealed.
Gurk explained that the what-ifs held her back from bringing the story out into the world until now.
“What if it’s not good? What if no one cares…What if everything falls apart along the way?” she asked.
“This book was born in my darkest season, and is being nurtured even now as I continue to write it,” the Christian influencer went on to say. “Depression. Anxiety. Perfectionism. Grief. The confusion that comes from feeling stuck in a version of yourself you never thought you’d be, and the desire to grow into who you TRULY are.”

She says the book will contain “real stories, hard lessons and truths I’ve learned that I hope will help you as much as they’ve helped me. I’m not writing this as someone who knows all the answers, but as someone who is still discovering them right alongside you.”
The mom of two did not reveal the title of her upcoming book but perhaps hinted at one as she wrote, “To anyone out there who has ever felt like they’ve lost their ‘pink’…this is your invitation to get it back.”
Get Your Pink Back is the clothing line started by Gurk in 2022.
Gurk explains the inspiration behind the name: “[F]lamingos, both male and female, can actually lose their pink coloring while raising their young because so much of their food and energy goes to their chicks. But eventually they get it back… and you will too.”
In addition to her lifestyle and funny videos, she shares messages of faith and encouragement. In a recent post, she spoke on forgiveness and accountability.
“…I do think that a lot of people go into Christianity and think, well, ‘Jesus forgave me for my sins, so I’m good,’ and I was one of those people…” she admitted. “We do have to take accountability for our words and actions…not just our major sins, but the words that we say that has weight. Everything in this life holds weight.”
Rather than a license to sin, forgiveness is “a call to change” and reminds listeners how crucial it is to extend forgiveness to others, the influencer went on to say.
“Because His forgiveness is so big, and the best way to say thank you is to overflow it onto other people,” she explained.
May God continue to use those such as Gurk whose sphere of influences reaches well outside the church to share the gospel.
