New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson ended 2025 feeling “grateful.”

“God, I’m just Grateful for You! A lot of Memories! New ones, Old ones, and a lot of History. A lot of Winning & a whole lot of Touchdowns! New Friends. Old Friends. Forever Friends. Plus a big Win!” the quarterback wrote in an Instagram post that included several pictures from his team’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Throughout the season, other athletes across the league used their social media presence to praise God, including Wilson’s teammate Jameis Winston.

“So grateful, man. I was so grateful,” he said of his first start this season. “I really wanted to win for these guys, man. How we dominated the line of scrimmage, we ran the ball effectively. We did some good things in the passing game. [Interim head coach Mike Kafka] Kaf did an incredible job calling this game. I really wanted to win this one for us.”

New England Patriots running back, TreVeyon Henderson, who boldly shared his faith while with Ohio State, spoke about his identity in Christ, not football, back in November.

“God’s love for me doesn’t depend on my performance. That my value is found in who I am to Him, not in what I do,” he posted, followed by Ephesians 1:4-7:

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.

Micah Parsons, who plays for the Green Bay Packers, learned what it means to be grateful amid hardship after a season ending injury.

“I may be sidelined, but I am not defeated,” he wrote on Dec. 15. “This injury is my greatest test — a moment God allowed to strengthen my testimony. I believe He walks with me through this storm and chose me for this fight because He knew my heart could carry it. I’m deeply grateful to the Packers organization and my teammates for their unwavering support, love, and belief in me during this season. I trust His timing, His plan, and His purpose. I will rise again.”

It’s incredible to see so many NFL stars express their gratitude to God through the highs and the lows.
