As we enter 2026, country-Christian artist Anne Wilson wants to encourage you through her song “Carry Me,” which chronicles her experience with tragedy.
The song details the loss of her brother, who died in a car accident in 2017 at the age of 23. In a video clip posted to Instagram, Wilson sings:
I went to bed fifteen, I woke up twenty-three
And now it all just feels like some kind of crazy, tragic dream
Truth is, I’m way too young to feel as old as I do
It ain’t easy being strong when they’re all counting on youSo girl, pull yourself together

Don’t you dare lose your composure
So much for closureWhere is that little girl, that one I used to be?
I can’t remember the last time that I felt young and free
How much can one heart take when it’s taking on everything?
I carry the weight of the world, can someone carry me?
“As you step into 2026, remember: God never asked you to carry the weight of the world. 🤍” she encouraged her fans in the caption.
People in the comment section thanked Wilson for the vulnerable song.
One fan commented, “I love this song so much Anne it’s been so helpful for me lately ❤️” Another person added, “I love this song so much. It’s so honest and so so beautiful and i just love it so much, whatever happens in 2026 Jesus will always carry us 🤍”
Wilson is currently on her The STARS Tour, hitting venues around the US and Canada. Recently she announced will extend into 2026.
“The STARS Tour is continuing this spring and tickets are on sale now!! My heart is so expectant for what God’s gonna do as we step into a brand-new year of shows,” she wrote on Instagram.
Last year, she released a devotional titled Hey Girl: You are Seen, Loved, and Made for More.
“Writing this has been such a prayerful journey, and my biggest hope is that every girl who reads it feels seen, loved and reminded of her worth in Jesus,” Wilson said of the book. “You don’t have to have it all together – He already calls you His. My prayer is that these pages bring you closer to His heart and give you courage to live boldly in who He’s made you to be!”
Wherever you are in life as you enter 2026, let Wilson’s message remind you that God can carry whatever you’re holding on to.
