Anne Wilson Reminds Fans Where True Strength Comes From
By Movieguide® Contributor
Anne Wilson reminded her fans that true strength comes from the Lord and we can rely on Him to sustain us even when we feel weak.
“‘That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties,’” Wilson wrote on Instagram. “For when I am weak, then I am strong’ (2 Corinthians 12:10). ?”
Wilson has long encouraged her fans to set their eyes on Christ. Though she is a country musician, all of her work centers on the Gospel, and her faith often makes its way into her songs.
Without compromising her faith or her country heart, Wilson has risen to become one of music’s most popular stars with her Grammy-nominated debut album, “My Jesus,” recently topping one billion streams. Her commitment to who she is has helped her stand out and garner a large audience.
“I didn’t change who I was. I stuck to who I am and what I believe, and it’s really cool to see how it’s all come together,” Wilson told PEOPLE before the release of her second album “Rebel.”
“I was hesitant at first. I said, ‘I’m not gonna change who I am to do country music.’ And [Nashville recording executive Cindy Made] said, ‘We want you to be exactly who you are. We don’t want you to change a thing, and we need you to bring God back into country music,’” she continued.
Since the release of “Rebel” in April, Wilson’s platform has only continued to grow. Earlier this year, she took home the Female Artist of the Year Award at the K-LOVE Awards and was recognized as a rising star in country music by being placed on the Opry NextStage class of 2024 list.
As Wilson continues to grow, it is amazing to see her continue to use her platform to promote Christ above all else.

Anne Wilson wants to take the Gospel into unlikely places.
For her new music video for “Songs About Whiskey,” the Christian artist explained why they filmed it in a bar.
“This whole record, one of the main goals has been like ‘What would a rebel do?’” she shared in an Instagram video. “For every song we wrote, and every idea creatively, how can we make this video something so different that no other Christian artist would really do? And for me, it was doing it in a bar. What does it mean to take the Gospel into the world and preaching Jesus to a crowd of people who don’t know him? Which literally makes it so much more special to me.”
Fans responded with congratulations to the singer. “The One you follow was a rebel like you! Love this! This is what He called you to do! Well done Anne!” one user said.
