HGTV’s BATTLE ON THE BEACH, hit show where experts renovate beachfront properties, will sail away after four seasons.

Host Alison Victoria revealed that the series wouldn’t return for a new season during a recent podcast.

“I did a show called BATTLE ON THE BEACH. I love that show. It was so fun and funny,” Victoria, who also hosts HGTV’s WINDY CITY REHAB, said. “And then all of a sudden, I watched the episode, I’m like, well, where’d all that [great content] go? I get it, it’s a lot of content to try to put into 42 minutes, but where is it? Where’s the great editing?”

She added, “You’ll lose a show that way. I truly believe that. BATTLE ON THE BEACH did not get picked back up, which is sad, because it was like adult spring break.”

The show followed three teams as they renovated identical beachfront properties. Victoria, along with BUILD IT FORWARD’s Taniya Nayak and ROCK THE BLOCK’s Ty Pennington, helped contestants with the remodels.

Last season, Nayak and her team took home the win.

She told HGTV, “I feel like my team brought it with the design ideas. They brought it with their execution. They brought it with fitting the demographic of the area, adding value to the house significantly. They took advantage of the views. They really took into consideration family.”

She added, “They just thought it all through and somehow my team — who only did one home in three years — managed to pull off this incredible winning renovation in six weeks with $100,000.”

BATTLE ON THE BEACH isn’t the only show HGTV recently canceled. FARMHOUSE FIXER, MARRIED TO REAL ESTATE, BARGAIN BLOCK and IZZY DOES IT will also not return for additional seasons.

BATTLE ON THE BEACH’s sister series titled BATTLE ON THE MOUNTAIN had one season in 2024 but never received the greenlight for a second season.

Despite the ongoing cancelations, other HGTV shows are putting up strong numbers.

Pennington’s ROCK THE BLOCK became HGTV’s highest-rated show ever in 2024. In an Instagram post last year, Pennington reposted an article that read, “ROCK THE BLCOK continues to captivate fans in major ways. The latest season of the HGTV series hosted by Ty Pennington reigns as the network’s highest-rates series to date in 2024. The series drew in 13.6 million total viewers.”

Time will tell whether any more BATTLE ON series will arrive on the network, but until then, there are many other HGTV renovation shows available to enjoy.
