The episode opens with Nathan, Lou, and Jack confronting the rustlers who have been stealing their cattle. It’s a risky move, and it almost lands them in deep waters, but Peter shows up to assist, and they can finally put the thugs behind bars.

Something doesn’t seem right to Nathan, though, and after digging, he uncovers a dirty secret that could jeopardize everything. In the meantime, Georgie is on the fence about whether to compete in her last competition with Phoenix. He has been performing poorly and is knocking off bars on every jump. Georgie knows she needs to retire him, but she wrestles with the idea of letting go of one of her best companions. Dex is also wrestling with his emotions as he works through his anger issues and begins to mature. Jack recognizes it and invites him back to the farm, giving him a second chance.
